A select field of six at Dover Monday

DOVER, Del. ---- Mystra and San Fran Lady N lead a select field of six in one half of the $15,000 double female feature; Beechwood Diana and newcomer BJ's Sweetheat head nine starters in the other on the Monday, Dec.30 program at Dover Downs. Post time is 4:30 p.m.

Foulk Stable's Mystra, a longtime local female standout, is back in form and will be driven by Chris Page. San Fran Lady N, owned and trained by successful New Zealand expatriate Peter Tritton, raced gamely last start and leaves from the rail with Tony Morgan in the bike. Timmylynn, owned by Richard Crammer, Black Dog Racing and trainer Bobby Reeser, ran off three straight wins last month earning a shot in the Open class, and now has dropped a notch.

The rest of the field is made up by KDM Stable's Miss Annie J and Allan Davis, also dropping down in class from the Open. AQ pair of veterans complete the lineup, George Teague's No Bad Luck with Montrell Teague and Kim Hunterpfund's Docdor Libby and Ross Wolfenden.

The other $15,000 pace features 3,4&5-Year-Old Filly and Mare pacers. Richard Ashley and Mike Cain's Beechwood Diana (Ross Wolfenden) benefits from a much improve post position. Susan and trainer Jason Skinner's BJ's Sweetheart (George Dennis) makes his first local start since last July, has drawn post 1. Joel and Diane Halpern's Mindale's Smile (Ben Stafford Jr.) has been in top form lately.

Valerya, bred, owned, trained and driven by Art Stafford Jr. must overcome post 8 while Erika Paradee's Lady's Delight (Mike Rossi) leaves from post 9 in the second tier. JoAnn King's American Ginger (Trace Tetrick) and Ron Davis' Grace Of An Angel (George Dennis) are a pair of three-year-old contenders. Katherine Bardis and George Teague's Lloyd's Lady (Montrell Teague) and E&K Stable and David King's Special Lady (Eddie Davis Jr.) round out the lineup.

There is no live racing on Tuesday, Dec. 31, New Year's Eve. Racing resumes on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, New Year's Day at 4:30 p.m. Thursday racing also begins at 4:30 p.m.
