Money Twitch - Was driven confidently by 21-year-old Michael George

Four-year-old Money Twitch gave promise of better things to come when he set a blistering pace and proved too smart for his older harness racing rivals in winning the Retravision Pace by two lengths from Our Slick Whitby at Gloucester Park last Thursday night.

Trained at Forrestdale by Skye Bond, Money Twitch was driven confidently by 21-year-old Michael George and his win was his 14th from 45 starts and boosted his earnings to $111,145 for his breeders and owners Skye and Greg Bond and Ian Davie.

Bred in WA, Money Twitch is by Life Sign out of Adayspay, a mare who earned $134,594 from her 19 wins and 18 placings from 83 starts in which she was driven to wins by both Greg Bond and Davie.

Money Twitch sprinted the final four 400m sections in 29.4sec., 28.7sec., 29.8sec. and 29.5sec. and rated a smart 1.56.7 over 1730m.

"All this horse needed was a good draw," George said. "And from No. 1 I was confident. He had been going well, but hadn't had much luck. He just goes enormously in front."

Eight-year-old Our Slicky Whitby gave promise of better things to come when he raced three wide early and then in the breeze before fighting on determinedly to be second, a head in front of Parisian Rocket, who had enjoyed a perfect trail behind the leader.
