The three year-old male and female monte rivals were showcased on today's Paris-Vincennes card. Baggio du Chatelet, a three year son of Niky, easily took the 120,000e Prix Edouard Marcillac with Mathieu Abrivard in the irons for trainer Nicolas Raimbeaux, as the less than even-money favorite. He scored by open lengths in 1.14.8kr over a short field, his third career win, now for earnings of 95,750e. The distance was 2175 meters. Well-bred Brooklyn Bridge captured second.

The female division produced another decisive winner at Beauty Turgot scored in 1.15.3kr in the 120,000e Prix Holly du Locton, a Gr. II affair over 2175 meters. She scored over nine rivals for Franck Nivard at the lines for Fabrice Souloy. The good gaited filly was off at 6.2/1 with one of the chief adversaries, Biguglia by Coktail Jet, finishing third behind 12/1 outsider Brise de L'alba,

Bold-striding Uppercut Orange took the win in 1.14kr at 6.5/1 odds, his sixth career win for over 240,000e earnings. The six year-old son of Jag de Bellouet closed relentlessly to defeat Ulf du Noyer and Ultimate du Rib. J.L.C. Dersoir trains the winner with his wife capably at the lines.
