Two 75,000 euro purse monte events graced the evening card at Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes. The first, an apprentice monte event named the Prix Jean Mary, offered 12 starters over the 2200 meter distance for the 75,000 euro purse. 8/1 upsetter Ryswick d’Avril (8g Carpe Diem-La Grandcopaise) with Mlle. Marion Lemonnier aboard took the victory. She confidently steered the winner to his 13th career victory worth 379,000 euro lifetime. The winner is owned and ytrained by Patrice Lebouteiller
The co-featured Prix Lilius went to jockey Maxene Pean aboard the R-C Larue trained Upero de la Fye (5m Jasmin de Flore-Ours Yoni-Podosis) over 2850 meters on the petite-piste. Purse was also 75,000 euro. The winner, off at 13/1, scored in 1.14.7kr to defeat Pop Life and Franck Nivard.
On Sunday the international Italian veteran Mack Grace SM (CCs Chuckie T-Ambro Grace SM-Armbro Goal) took the Grand Premio Ivone Grassetto at Padova for reinsman Roberto Andreghetti. The winner scored easily in 1.12.5kr to defeat Occhiata Jet and Negresco Milar.
Mack Grace SM is a probable entrant in the prestigious Gran Premio Lotteria set for October 13 at Agnano Racetrack in Naples. Contested over 1600 meters for a total purse of 406,000 euro, this event is a UET Masters Series test. Started in 1951, Mack Grace SM was the 2012 Lotteria winner. Varenne holds the event record of 1.10.8kr set in the 2002 edition. Other possible starters include Commander Crowe, Look MP, Linda di Casei, Looney Tunes, Marielles, Marlon OM, Maestrale Spin, and Owens Club.
