The Gr. III Prix Antigone for 110,000e today at Vincennes, France went to Italian invader Nene'Degli Ulivi and jockey Alexandre Abrivard in the sparkling 1.12.1kr (mile rate 1:56) time over 2850 meters (1-3/4 miles).

Impressively the winner traveled an extra 25 meters in this distance handicap event. The seven year-old gelded son of Uconn Roc-Maureen Lobell-Speedy Somolli recorded his 24th career win for earnings of 445,086e. Vincent Lacroix trains the winner for owner Joe Cachia. Camille Levesque piloted Tolima to a soild second for trainer Mike Lenders.

Nene'Degli Ulivi comes from a superb maternal family that gave the sport Iza Bizi, Miralie Lobell (winner Coaching Club Trotting Oaks and third in Hambletonian Oaks), Well Cast, Money Hanover (third in the Stanley Dancer), Meadow Bright (winner of Lady Suffolk and Colonial), Meadow Matt (winner of Prix de la Cote d'Azur) and Meadow Farr (Coaching Club Trotting Oaks winner).

The excellent Vincennes undercard included victories by As Dore (4m Coktail Jet) in the Prix Maginus for Dominik Locqueneux, United Back (6m Ni Ho Ped d'Ombree) for J-M Bazire in the Quinte+ Prix Huberta and Bold Eagle (3m Ready Cash) for Jean-Etienne Dubois in the Prix Libussa. The day's Q+ jackpot reached 7.8 million euros.
