Today - Friday September 7 - sees the launch of New Zealand's newest public harness racing syndicate. YOR! racing - short for Your Own Racehorse is offering shares in a filly by New Zealand's leading sire in Bettor's Delight.
The horse named Pacing Delight, has been leased from Woodlands Stud and will be trained by Canterbury trainer, Mark Jones.
Shares in the Come Racing Syndicate will be an all inclusive $299 each over a 2 year period. Pacing Delight is a sister to Grace Way, Amazing Art and Symphony In Motion, all of whom are multiple winners.
Pacing Delight or Grace as she will be known, has just turned 2 and broke in extremely well under the care of North Island trainer Todd MacFarlane.
The Syndicate will be managed by Canterbury commentator Mark McNamara who is a passionate harness racing owner and looking forward to the new venture,
"You just can't beat racing horses, and I was looking for a more affordable way to do so. Going down the Syndicate road seemed like an exciting new challenge and a great way to share racing with lots of other people. A one-off payment, a well bred filly and a trainer that has topped 50 winners for the last 3 seasons, hopefully will be a record for success.
"After approaching Woodlands Stud to see if they would be happy to lease us a horse to get things started, they graciously offered a magnificently bredfilly out of Pacing Grace and we are extremely thankful for their help."
Trainer Mark Jones is also looking forward to the new syndicate:
"I'm looking forward to having a well bred filly in the barn and very excited to hear she broke in well. She ticks all the boxes and I look forward to sharing the winning feeling with all the new syndicate owners."
Shares are now available through until Sunday, October 7, unless sold out prior. For more information check out the website yor-racing.com or
