It's been said good weather brings out the best in most everyone. It certainly did Tuesday (June 11) for the Flynn brothers as their trotter, Pass The Popcorn won the days $4,000 feature harness race at Plainridge and set a new lifetime mark, 1:57.3.

Smartly driven from the sixth post by Ralph Anderson the horses' last two starts were at Vernon Downs where he finished third and first in $4,800 company.

Anderson rated him well during yesterdays trot feature and seemed to have plenty left at the finish.Sent off at 7-1, Pass The Popcorn paid his backers across the board, $16.20, $4.60, and $5.20.

Trained by Joseph Flynn of South Grafton, Ma.,and co-owned by Edward A. Flynn of Shrewsbuy, Ma., the Flynn's prized trotter had good kick in the stretch run to edge Cuzzin Rob driven by D.T.Sumner.

The four-year-old out of Conway Hall ran his earnings to just under $10,000 in 10 starts this season and to over $40,000 in 23 lifetime starts.

Longtime supporters of harness racing, the Flynn's can't wait for another fair weather day that produces the same resuls.
