Three-year-old pacing filly Noble Jilly closed out Woodbine Racetrack's Friday card of harness racing, persevering in the closest call of the night to pull off the biggest upset.
Driven by Jody Jamieson in a $17,000 fillies and mares pace, the post nine starter rallied home from third over off the cover of second choice Shutthefrontdoor and out-sprinted that filly in the final quarter of a mile for the 23-1 upset win. Noble Jilly prevailed by a neck in 1:54.2, sparking a $49.70 win payoff.
Gapping the gate from the start, favourite Missevil was unable to overcome post 10, but with a :26.4 closing quarter from the trailing position she managed to pass half the field for a paycheque.
