After a delay to accommodate an Ontario Racing Commission hearing this morning (Thursday, May 15), the post positions for the Ontario Sires Stakes three-year-old colt pace Gold Elimination, scheduled for Saturday night at Mohawk Racetrack, have been drawn.

The hearing was convened to decide whether a colt formerly trained by Bill Elliott would be allowed to start in the event.

Elliott had his ORC license suspended indefinitely, after out-of-competition testing revealed the presence of EPO/DPO in another of his horses, Michelles Power.

The Woodbine Entertainment Group has banned all horses trained by Elliott at their facilities.

The ORC ruled that the horse, Lyons Geoff, could draw in and will leave from post five in the first elimination, race #3. The colt will be required to race out of retention.

With Marty Fine now listed as the trainer, Lyons Geoff has made one start this year, finishing fourth in an overnight at Georgian Downs near Barrie.
