Last month, Woodbine Entertainment Group's Communications department announced that top trotter Windsong Geant would head overseas to contest a pair of European signature events for harness racing trainer/driver Rick Zeron.
Windsong Geant will take on some of the sport's top trotting talents in the Oslo Grand Prix, on May 13 in Norway, followed up by the Elitlopp, in Stockholm, Sweden, on May 27.
On Thursday evening, Windsong Geant, a son of, began his voyage overseas.
“Right now, he’s on top of his game and he’s right where I want him to be,” Zeron said. "He is absolutely flawless and he stepped up like a real gentleman in his last start.”
The 10-time winner is certainly on his game after he captured the Open Trot in his most recent outing, defeating trotting titan San Pail in the process.
A winner of $386,711, Windsong Geant is owned by The Brabant Stable and Fred Brayford.
