December 26, 2015 – Veteran mare Orangyal (7f Wall Street Banker-Derengo-Endless Sands) took today’s Janos Paulovitz Memorial (purse 600,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) at Kincsem Park, timed in 1.17.9kr for driver/trainer Csaba Lakatos. Orangyl earned her 20th career win in 89 starts, this one in dense fog. Andorra Gold set the pace and was an open length leader before tiring late around the final bend. Orifiamma Jet (7f Supergill-Ticket To Ride-Nevele Pride) rallied late to be a good second for driver Sandor Varadi and trainer Tibor Hajnal, with Landlord (10m Baltic Bet-Golden Lady-Endless Sands) third on the line for trainer/driver Laszlo Kolozsi.
The co-featured Ketevesck Versenye for 600,000Huf over 1900 meters autostart for two year-olds went to Uzsorasno (2f Maximus Lindy-Hitelezo-Witsends Speedy) for trainer/driver Balazs Juhasz. Radihazi owns the winner and bred her under the name Kabala Menes Kft. Ulaszlo M (2m Cigar Dan-Cinderella Gelj-Giant Chill) was second for Zsolt Vereb and trainer Goran Zolnaji. Uliana Ketti (2f Fanketti-Gong-Poz) ended third for amateur driver Sandor Hegedus and trainer Robert Joo. Breeder Kabala Menes has been a leading commercial breeder in Hungary for many years, having produced many Derby winners including Illetmeny in 2005 (by Valley Guardian), Kentish Boy (by Endless Sands) in 2007, London (by Baltic Bet) in 2008, and the 2011-2014 winners Oguz, Paperboy, Radium Boy and Szerelmes, all these by Wall Street Banker.
Aged trotters competed in the 360,000Huf Istvan Vicen Memorial over 1900 meters autostart. The 1.18.7kr winner was Kiskarcsi (11g Castleton Magic-Best Over-Executive Way) teamed by Bernadett Balogh for trainer Joseph Rutkai and Prolongo i. Kiskarcsi scored his 26th win in 100 starts and second straight. Zavita Meerswal (9f Good As Gold-Davidia Storm-Quick Pay) was second for Zoltan Gyolai and trainer Csaba Lakatos with Nelli Gull (8f Yankee Yankee-Melinda Gull-Pershing) finishing third for Zoltan Becze and trainer Attila Budai.
