O'Brien Award winner Peaceful Way will make her first start in nearly a month on Saturday (November 5) in the $250,000 American National for Older trotters at Balmoral Park.
In her last start, Peaceful Way captured the $81,500 Allerage over Mystical Sunshine in 1:54.3 at the Red Mile. The Dave Tingley trainee has eight wins in nine starts this year, suffering her only loss when she broke stride in the $918,000 Maple Leaf Trot at Mohawk on September 17.
The 4-Year-Old daughter of-Royal Bait will face fellow Allerage winner Hellava Hush, Dunkster, , Hez Striking, , Mohammed Mali, Mr Mackintosh, Mystical Sunshine and Rose Run Fastball in the final, carded as race five. Eliminations were not required.
Peaceful Way has banked over $620,000 this year and boasts over $2.3-million in lifetime earnings for her trainer and co-owners Goin My Way Stable of South Hampton, Pennsylvania, Katz Libfeld Goldband of Toronto and Angie Stiller of Arva, Ont.
Balmoral will also host the Am Nat Finals for Open pacers and 3-Year-Old trotters.
