Orjan Kihlstom teamed Panne de Moteur (6m Credit Winner-Jalopy-Donerail) to a nose victory in elimination two of the 2014 Elitloppet, timed in 1.08.9kr (1:50.86). That time equals Commander Crowe's Swedish record.

The winner's dam was a Hambletonian Oaks winner. As anticipated Lutfi Kolgjini set the pace with Raja Mirchi (7m Viking Kronos-Dame Lavec-Quito de Talonay) and almost hung on under heavy pressure.

Although modestly rough gaited nearing the line he stayed together bravely to just miss. Kihlstrom had the winner well placed in the pocket throughout after David Miller vacated the three spot to sit in the death seat.

Panne de Moteur looked beaten at top of stretch and when Kihlstrom pulled to attack the horse was briefly rough gaited and veered left. Kihlstom superbly steadied his charge and went on for the close win over Raja Mirchi.

Delicious (by Cantab Hall) ended third for Daniel Reden with Pascia'Lest (by Varenne) fourth for Enrico Bellei after a ground saving journey. Juliano Rags (by Juliano Star) was fifth after causing a restart in this field's first attempt at the start. Uncle Peter backed through the field to be unplaced.
