It was a perfect weather night for a harness racing Pepsi Day at Hanover Raceway.
Pepsi provided close to $2,000 dollars in prizes including a Patio Set, BBQ, Bicycles, and much more. Fans also got a chance to taste test their new lines of Starbucks coffee, Pure Leaf iced tea, and Mountain Dew Energy drinks.
On the track, Top driver Bruce Richardson who won three races on week one continued his winning ways with 2 wins, 2 seconds and 3 third place finishes.
Richardsons first win was in race two with Pembroke Chip (Malabar Man) in 1:59.4 for owner Dale McFadden of Ayton. The Arthur native also won race 6 which was the featured Pepsi Pace with Skyway Boomer (Sportswriter) in 1:58.4 for owner Glenview Livestock of Guelph.
Jay Harris of Dundas also had 2 wins on the card. The 30 year old won race 3 with Euchred (Shadow Play) in 1:57.1 for owner David Yuzpe of London and the nightcap with Modern Best (Modern Art) in 1:59.1 for owner Stephen Morton of Nova Scotia.
Next Saturday is Molson Mens night at Hanover, in honour of Fathers Day. Fathers in attendance can win some fabulous prized courtesy of Molson. Post time Saturday June 20th is 7:15pm.
