Renaissance Man, a former Group 1 winning two and three-year-old and who now stands at Yirribee Pacing Stud, Wagga (NSW), sired a winning double at the midweek Gloucester Park meeting.
His winners were Medieval Man, who sat parked before winning in a career-best 1:58.2 over 2130 metres, and Longreach Bay, who led throughout with the final 800 in 56 seconds. Both are members of Renaissance Manās second crop of 27 foals which has produced 17 starters, 10 winners and three placegetters.
World championĀ Warrawee NeedyĀ sired his eleventh winner from his first Australian crop in the three-year-old filly Rusty El, a winner in 1:59 at her second start at Wagga. He was also represented by a winner in Canada in Farros Reign (1:57.8).
Fellow Yirribee Stud siresĀ Tintin In AmericaĀ andĀ Million Dollar CamĀ were both represented by winners at Albion Park. Nimah Franco NZ, a daughter of Tintin In America, posted her ninth success and lifted her stake tally to beyond $75,000, while Kay Nora Shannon (by Million Dollar Cam) earned a new speed badge of 1:58.2 on the way to her third win this year.
