London, May 7, 2018 — The Raceway at Western Fair District is heading into the homestretch of its harness racing season which will also be its busiest period, featuring 12 programs of live racing in a 19-day span.
Horse people are reminded that there is a special afternoon program on Sunday, May 13th starting at 1:15 p.m. and that the Ontario Regional Driver's Championship (ORDC) takes place on Wednesday, May 16th. The ORDC card will offer enhanced purses for the 10-race card and horse people are reminded to check the condition sheet for details.
There will be plenty of racing opportunities in the next three weeks at the London oval and horse people are urged to support the entry box as the London oval looks to end the season on a high note.
This Friday, The Raceway will honour long time fan favourite Bridge Street as its 2018 Wall of Fame inductee. The 58-time career winner of $676,000 will be on hand Friday night to lead a post parade and be in the winner's circle for the live induction ceremony.
The countdown is also on to the Raceway's premier event, the first ever Camluck Classic Invitational Pace, on Saturday, May 26th. The field for the $150,000 event is taking shape and details on some of the expected starters will be released later this week.
