In the second race $75,000 Valley Forge consolation for three-year-old pacing fillies, UF Dragon’s Queen (Dragon Again) and driver Dave Miller took the early lead from Ideal Ginny (Andy Miller) and then led the John Butenschoenrest of the mile to score in 1:50.3 by one and one-quarter lengths over Ideal Ginny and Mistresstothestarts (Matt Kakaley). It was UF Dragon’s Queen’s fourth win this year for trainer Kelly O’Donnell and the Up Front Racing Stable of Amherst, Ohio. She paid $2.20 to win.

Punxsutawney (Glidemaster) was able to mind his manners and stay on stride and return to his winning ways with a parked-out-the-mile 1:53.2 lifetime mark in winning the third race $100,000 Colonial Trot consolation for three-year-old colts. Driven by Corey Callahan, Punxsutawney was caught on the outside early from post five as Wheeling N Dealin (Yannick Gingras) cut the mile with Lindy’s Tru Grit (Tim Tetrick) sat the pocket trip. But Punxsutawney was not to be denied and kept grinding it out, taking the lead at the top of the stretch and then pulling away to win by three and three-quarter lengths.

It was Punxsutawney’s third win this year. He is trained by  and owned by Jerry Graham of Salem, IL.
