Pompano Beach, FL…February 3, 2020…A few seasons ago, Pompano Park made morning line history when all six harness racing entrants in a race were pegged at 7 to 2 in the morning line.
The track will feature another historical morning line event on Tuesday night with the line for each race created by the drivers, themselves.
Jack Killeen, Joe Chindano, Jr., Wally Hennessey, Walt La Freniere, Jr., Dave Ingraham, Rob Hoffman, Rick Plano and Andy Santeramo put their racing expertise in motion to create the morning line and, interesting to note, none of the drivers are participating in the races for which they created the morning line.
Killeen, the youngest driver to participate at Pompano Park this season, kicks things off in the first legs of the Daily Double and Pick-5 installing Northern Dali and Prairie Easter as co-favorites at 2 to 1 in an Open II Pace for mares.
Chindano takes over in the second race and has made Baby Maker Hanover the 2 to 1 favorite in that trot.
Hall Of Famer Wally Hennessey follows in the third race and pegs Tangled Mind at 2 to 1 in this conditioned, optional claiming event.
La Freniere has listed Uber Hanover as his 2 to 1 ranking in the fourth with Jimi Wind Ricks (3 to 1) and Arsenal (4 to 1) next.
Dave Ingraham had the honor of making the morning line for the featured Open I pace for mares and, in a very “evenly matched” race, has Truth And Liberty listed at 2 to 1 with both Jazzy Image and Rockin Serene the co-second choices at 3 to 1. That race kicks off the Pick-4 with a $15,000 guaranteed pool.
Rob Hoffman follows in the sixth race and has made the 50 race winning veteran Big N Bad the 2 to 1 morning line favorite over King Royalty (3 to 1).
Rick Plano has a 2 to 1 morning line opinion on Brown Brinny in the seventh race–the first half of the late daily double.
Finally, Andy Santeramo has made Rockin Away his 2 to 1 chalk in the Super Hi-5 finale, with a jackpot now over $100,000 for a single winning ticket.
It’s another version of Super Tuesday at Pompano Park on Tuesday night with first post scheduled for 7:20 p.m.
