Ghazi BR was an easy winner at the Hippodrome Les Sables d’Olonne

Today’s Prix Marcel Bousseau (purse 36,000€, 2775 meters distance handicap, 15 starters) at Hippodrome Les Sables d’Olonne went to the 9/10 harness racing favorite Ghazi Br (5m Cantab Hall-Fiery Chip). Trainer Jean Michel Bazire teamed the winner clocked in 1.14.2kr over the stated distance to his second win in France.

The Norwegian owned trotteur now has career earnings of 194,734€. The 25-meter handicapped and 2.1/1 second choice Classic Connection (5m Love You-Crys Dream) raced superbly and was second beaten three lengths with owner Jean Pierre Dubois up for trained Yves Boireau. The 15/1 odds and 25-meter handicapped Tinamo Jet (7m Naglo-Iitvania Jet) took third for Eric Raffin and trainer Franck Leblanc.

On September 9 at Vincennes the emerging mare Fleche du Vucca (4f Prodigious-Vincenza) scored again timed in 1.15.1kr with Jean Philippe Dubois aboard.

She won for the sixth time in her last eight starts and now sports eight career victories in 15 appearances. Philippe Moulin trains her for Ecurie Victoria Dreams and the latest win raised her career earnings to 82,420€. The race was the Prix d’Asnieres (purse 38,000€, 2700 meters, 16 starters) and the winner was the 1.1/1 favorite.

The 6.6/1 Fidele du Goutier (4g Prodigious-Salima du Goutier) was second for Clement Duvaldestin and 5.9/1 Fine Colline (4f Village Mystic-Pretty Colline) took third for owner/trainer/driver Matthieu Abrivard.
