Prix Neubourg goes to Ut D'Erable

David Thomain rode Ut d’Erable to victory at Vincennes

David Thomain teamed Ut d'Erable (5m Insert Gede-Ostera) to a close victory in today's featured Prix Neubourg (monte, 2700 meters, 80,000 euro purse) at Paris-Vincennes. The winner covered the course in 1.14.4kr to defeat Urfalino (5g Neutron du Cebe-Nalara) with Ultima Queen home third for P-Y Verva.

The co-featured Quinte+ event of the day was the Prix Tourcoing (2850 meters, 68.000 euro purse). Surprise du Lupin (7f Kerido du Donjon-Kiosca) took this one in 1.14.5kr for teamster Anthony Barrier and owner/trainer J-P Marmion. Reve A L'Oliverie (8g Flash de Cossie-Kalia d'Oliverie) ended next for P-Y Verva and Randjany was third for Pierre Vercruysse.

The mid-week (December 11) feature, the Prix A. Francois(monte, European, 2175 meters, 110,000 euro purse) continued a string of interesting monte events, This one went to Rapide du Digeon (8g Urfist des Pres-Gerveine Barbes) with Damien Bonne aboard in a swift 1.11.8kr. Taiga du Rib (6f Nice Love-Galinette Cendres) was second for J.L. Cl. Dersoir, the jockey for Joel Hallais and Ecurie Rib. Rubis Dairpet was third for Eric Raffin.

At Bergsaker today an interesting prospect, Victory Bonsai (2m Kadabra-Victory Bouquet-Balanced Image) remained undefeated in three career starts with a victory in 1.17.4kr over 2140 meters. The K.M. Hastfarm owned colt was driven by Ulf Eriksson for trainer Robert Bergh. He earned 40,000SEK with the win.

Saturday's Aby card showcases another comeback attempt for international veteran Maharajah (8m Viking Kronos-Chili Khan-Giant Chill). The career winner of over 18.9 million SEK has 28 wins in 54 lifetime appearances. He'll be reunited with teamster Orjan Kihlstrom in the V75 Gold event for 150,000SEK first money over 2140 meters autostart. The 12 horse field includes Juggle Face (7m Viking Kronos-Rakel Sund-Armbro Goal) that Johnny Takter will drive and Solvato (4m Donato Hanover-Solveig-Yankee Glide) that will be making his fifth start since being imported from the U.S.
