64,000 wins! That is what the 10 harness racing drivers in the 'Legends' race at Pompano Park have achieved. The 8th race will cap off a Pick-4 where the first three legs feature the Sunshine Pro-Am Challenge. Tomorrow night, Tuesday, will feature the last three legs of the Challenge, capped off with the second edition of the 'Legends' race.

The Sunshine Pro-Am series featuresthe top two professional drivers from Cal-Expo (Luke Plano and Steve Wiseman)and two of their more experienced amateurs (David Siegel and RickBertrand). This team of four will takeon the formidable task of trying to amass more points over the six race seriesthan their Floridian competitors. Pompano puts two pros with over 16,000 wins between them, Bruce Rangerand Wally Hennessey and two of amateurs, Jamie Marra and John Campagnuolo, on the track with the hopes to out duel their west coastcounterparts.

To promote the two day series, TrackMaster is making available free full past performance programs for the two nights in addition to free TrackMaster Greg selections. TrackMaster Greg has also devoted a special blog for the Pick-4 sequence that includes the three Sunshine Pro-Am Challenge races and the Legends races (races 5-8).

Cal-Expo's leading driver, Luke Plano is fired up to be racing in Florida and re-united with his Mom and Dad who are wintering at Pompano. "This is my first special series like this and I think it is a great way to draw some attention to the sport. We don't get too much coverage out west, and hopefully, this will help cultivate some new fans for us."

Rick Bertrand, one of Cal-Expo's two amateur entrants echoed Luke's sentiment. He said, "I am grateful to have been asked to represent the amateur portion of the California team in this very special event. Getting to race with Ranger and Hennessey is a great honor and hopefully I can do more than hold my own. This is a wonderful thing that Pompano is doing and I think it is a great promotion for the sport. I only can wonder why more events like this are not held as not only is it a blast for the participants, but I think the fans will really enjoy the variety that such a series brings with it."

The Pro-Am races have been carded as races 5-7 on both Monday and Tuesday nights with the "Legends" race carded as the 8th. A $5000 guaranteed pool for the Pick-4 sequence made up of these races (5-8) is available for wagering.
