With the first few weeks of baby quailfiers underway it was pleasing to see that the richest stallion ever to go to stud Mister Big p,4,1:47.4 ($4,143,492) had four performers on the track with the two-year-old colt On The Big Swing becoming his first impressive qualifier (Friday the 30th of May) rating 1:59.1 with a last quarter in 28 seconds winning by 13 lengths at Saratoga.

Trained by Glenn Raia and driven by Brian Cross, On The Big Swing is the ninth foal from the Presidential Ball mare Swinging Mistress.

YS Big Pokemon a two-year-old colt by Mister Big out of DGs Pokemon by Shipps Purser also had a qualifier at Pompano Park running 2:02.4 and another Mister Big colt Big Turn On, out of the Western Terror mare Turn On The Jets ran fourth timed in 1:59.4 at Maywood Park, a half mile track.

The fourth performer for Mister Big was a filly called Big Tsunami from the Intrepid Seelster mare Dangerous Waters. Big Tsunami ran second timed in 2.02.1 at Mohawk Racetrack on Saturday.

Mister Big has 91 two-year-olds for racing in 2013.

Art Official, the second fastest 3yo in history at 1.47 and the only horse to beat the great Somebeachsomewhere is another of the Muscara stallions performing and ready to produce his first crop on the racetrack in 2013.

He produced his first winning qualifier yesterday (June 4th) at Chester. You Dont Know Art a two-year-old filly from the Western Terror mare You Dont Know Me won her qualifier by two and a half lengths in 2.02.1 with a last quarter in 28.1. Tim Tetrick drove for trainer Ben Stafford.

A $31,000 purchase at the Lexington Select Sale You Dont Know Art is the first foal of You Dont Know Me who in turn was out of the good producing Falcon Seelster mare Taxn Tip the dam of 9 foals, all good winners excepting the dam of You Dont Know Art, who only had the one unplaced lifetime start.

Another Art Official filly called La Soraya out of the Camluck mare Its A Cam Lie rated 2.03.2 in her qualifier at the Meadows running 6th and finally a two-year-old colt by Art Official called Mister Chaos from the Jate Lobell mare Because I Said So started in a qualifier at the Meadows.

Art Official has 83 two-year-olds in 2013.

It is early days yet to be saying how good these babies are but these two great racehorses Mister Big and Art Official are underway producing good early progeny and that can only argue well for the future of the Muscara family's huge investment in the harness racing business.
