Prussia (5f Ken Warkentin-Elvezia-Pine Chip) surged three-wide down the backstretch and around the final bend to collar a game Commander Crowe (11g Juliano Star-Somark-Mack Lobell) and prevail by a length in track record time 1.10.9kr at the new Campanelle (Rome, Italy) 1000 meter track.

This Gr. I UET Masters Series event carried a purse of €187,000 over the 1640 meters autostart right handed course.

Roberto Andreghetti teamed the winner ahead of veteran Commander Crowe with Orjan Kihlstrom up for trainer Fabrice Souloy. Louvre was a close up third for Federico Esposito with Orsia fourth for Alessandro Gocciadoro.

Napoleon Bar was the first to the lead and held the front until mid-stretch after leaving Commander Crowe in the death seat.

Commander Crowe had surged three-wide before the stands the first time but was parked by Napoleon Bar until he gained the lead mid-stretch but could not hold off the driving Prussia.
