LONDON, ON – Long-time Ontario harness racing trainer Victor Puddy is stepping up in the need of horsemen Dave Jackson, who was recently injured during an on-track accident on June 28th at Clinton Raceway.
Jackson, 50, remains hospitalized in critical condition. After the accident, Jackson was transported to Clinton Hospital, and was later transferred to London Health Sciences Centre.
Jackson has been diagnosed with severe head trauma along with a neck injury. He has been moved out of ICU and is now on the regular trauma floor at LHSC. The London native has a long road to recovery.
Puddy, winner of more than 2,000 races, will be donating his 5% training commission from each of his four starters this Saturday at Hanover Raceway.
His horses will line up as follows:
Race 2 – Century Gala
Race 5 – That's Mia Bad
Race 6 – Levis Day
Race 8 – Shadow Margeaux
A Go Fund Me Fundraiser began yesterday and has already accumulated more than $9,000 which truly shows the generosity of the harness racing community.
