Punters wasted no time letting TAB Sports bet know it was generous with Mister Swinger's price in its early market on tomorrow night's $20,000 Tooleybuc Sporting Club Nyah Pacing Cup.

The initial market saw the Geoff Webster-trained five-year-old son of Village Jasper the $3.20 favourite ahead of Ti Vogliobene and Megasam at $6.50, Yucatchim at $7 and Genuine Star at $9.

But an avalanche of money for Mister Swinger, who has raced with distinction against Melpark Major and Ebony Gem in recent months, in the first three hours of betting forced TAB Sportsbet to slash the entire's price to $2.60.

Within an hour of posting its market yesterday afternoon, TAB Sportsbet took a bet of $1750 on Mister Swinger at the $3.20. They let another punter on for $2500 at that same price before winding him in to $2.90.

A further bet of $2000 at $2.90 brought Mister Swinger in to $2.75, but that didn't deter another punter from unloading $3650 at that quote, forcing him into $2.60.

TAB Sportsbet's Glenn Munsie said punters were quickly to let it know it had been generous with its price for Mister Swinger, who will start from barrier six off the front line in the 2570-metre standing start event at 9.30pm.

"Punters realised that there will be no Melpark Major on Saturday night and although the wide draw isn't perfect, the form Mister Swinger is in was enough for them to quickly snap up the early prices," Munsie said.

The fanatic interest in Mister Swinger is best illustrated by the fact Albert Terrill has drifted from $10 to $11 despite attracting an early bet of $700.

Ti Vogliobene and Megasam retain their place on the second line of betting, now at $7.50, just in advance of Yucatchim at $8. Genuine Star is next in the betting at $10.

TAB Sportsbet is also fielding on tomorrow night's feature support event, the $8000 Jim Roberts Nyah Trotters Cup.

Cloud Catcher is the hot $1.85 favourite in the seven-horse event, clear of De Bruin Gold ($3.80) with Mental Power ($6) and Malhana Miss ($7) the only other runners under double figures.
