Quik Pulse Mindale returned to the track after a layoff of almost seven months, winning a qualifier yesterday (October 12) at Balmoral Park in 1:53.2 for driver Tony Morgan and trainer Erv Miller.

The 4-year-old son of Jenna's Beach Boy was reserved off the early fractions, then sent for the lead past the half by Morgan. He paced a strong final half, getting to the wire with a final quarter in 27.4.

Quik Pulse Mindale had last raced in the Woodbine Spring Championship in late March, finishing fourth. He sustained an injury that kept him on the sidelines for the spring and summer months.

As a 3-year-old last season, Quik Pulse Mindale paced to a 1:48 record. He sports career earnings of $736,563.
