Last Saturday night was one of those rarest of nights when the All Star barn failed to land a big big on the opening night of the Queensland Winter carnival.
Natalie reckons the team reacted well to a minimum of luck on the first big night of the Queensland carnival and that they all came through their races in top order.
This is how she rated the runs from the team on Saturday night.
Smolda (2nd )
"I was really thrilled with him."
"In fact I would stay he probably went the best of the lot of them."
"Going well and just couldn't beat that inside speed on the night"
Fight for Glory (2nd)
"Considering she was against older horses and it was a tune up race for her she was fine."
"She will like going over a bit further now"
Hug The Wind (2nd)
"Look if I was really honest he was one who just disappointed a shade."
"I thought he was entitled to kick on a wee bit better."
"But he is another one who will go better next time over a bit more ground."
"Those short races and bad draws are not ideal"
Gentle Western
"Considering the work he had missed and his overall programme I thought he went really well."
"He should be a strong contender in the Final"
