The Chicago harness racing circuit has returned to their regular schedule effective with the Sunday (August 28) program at Balmoral Park.
Monday night Maywood Park shifts back to our customary weekly format of live racing on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights.
Our sister track Balmoral Park has resumed their normal weekly format of live racing on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Super Night 2005 is less than three weeks away at the south suburban facility.
The 16th annual Illinois extravaganza with their eight state-bred championship races and purses worth over $1.4 million is Saturday night, September 17.
Super Night eliminations will be carded on Thursday night, September 8 for the Dan Patch and Ann Vonian stakes for older ICF horses.
Eliminations for the 2-Year-Old Orange and Blue events, along with the 3-Year-Old Pete Langley (colts) and Grandma Ann (fillies) races will take place on Saturday, September 10.
If eliminations are needed for the second season trotting stakes—The Su Mac Lad (colts) and the Lady Ann Reed (fillies)—they’ll be held on Sunday, September 11.
DuQuoin Under Way
he DuQuoin State Fair begins on Monday evening (August 29) with a special 6.30 post time on both its Monday and Tuesday evening programs.
DuQuoin wraps up their five days of harness racing next Saturday afternoon with the $550,00 World Trotting Derby featuring the absolute best 3-Year-Old trotters in North America.
And it’s just one of nine stake finals on card.
The $350,000 Filly World Trotting Derby is on Friday.
