11 2-Year-Old trotters will fight it out for $70,000 in the Review Stake on Tuesday (August 16) at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.

Five of them already have sub-2.00 marks and one of the 11 starters is virtually assured of ending the day with a much faster record.

Scoring from the rail for D.R. Ackerman is Chocolatier, a son of Credit Winner with a mark of 1.59.2. Remus 2, 1.59.1 from the Jimmy Takter Stable scores next to him.

Also among the starters are Johnny Muscles 2, 1.59.3, Capetown Hall 2, 1.58f, and Leroy Zet 2, 1.59.3.

In other Grand Circuit action on Tuesday at Springfield, seven sophomore pacers will engage in a shootout for $40,000 in their division of the Review Stakes.

American Fury already has a 1.50.2 mark and $88,546 this year and will be looking to shade the 1.50 mark.

Five sophomore pacing fillies will race for $40,000, and Maytime Hall p,3, 1.51.3 heads the field.

Andy Miller will drive her.

Freshman trotting fillies also raced for $40,000 and eight hope to take home the trophy.

Tresokay is coming off a 1.59 win and Dewayne Minor will steer the young lass.
