The Raceway at Western Fair hosted ROS Ontario’s final 2013 exhibition monte race on Friday evening. The Doug McIntosh owned and trained Lady Is A Pirate (5f Mutineer-Self Secure-Self Possessed) scored in 2:03.3h for rider E. Harms after taking the lead approaching the three quarter mile mark. The pair held off Riina Rekila piloting Katla (3f Cadillac Hall-Flores-Balanced Image) for a two-length win in the eight horse field.
