The Winter harness racing Meet at Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes continued New Year’s Eve and Day before good crowds and rain-free weather. Starter du Rib captured the New year’s Eve featured Prix de Poitiers for trainer Joel Hallais and owner Ecurie Rib for his 18th career victory. Jean Loic Claude Dersoir steered the winner home in 1.13.7kr over 2700 meters. Highly regarded Sam Gibus ended second with Renardo Bello, a half-brother to double Prix d’Amerique winner Offshore Dream, fourth.

The winner is trained in Holland by Hugo Langeweg, Jr. for Gerrits Recycling Group and is from Saratoga Yankee by Yankee Glide.
