The veteran Rapide Lebel won his first start for money since December 2012 tonight at Hippodrome Wallonie (Belgium), scoring in a track record 1.14.4kr over 2850 meters.

Eric Raffin drove the Sebastien Guarato trainee for owner Alexander Prevost to his 29th career win for earnings of over £1.8 million. The nine year-old Ginger Somolli gelding held off fast closing Pas Sans Toi by two lengths, as the winner drifted to the far outside during the stretch. Reactions of driver and trainer were mixed on tonight's effort and they plan for another race on April 19 from which to evaluate Rapide Lebel's fitness. Race summary and replay link follow.
