Tasmanian harness racing trainer James Rattray, who now resides in NSW, has nominated six of his team for the Inter Dominion series headed by his stable star Beautide who has won the past two Inter Dominions.
Rattray has nominated Beautide, Blue Pointer, Devendra, Modern Ruler, Pachacuti and former New Zealander Roger Ramjet.
However, the trainer has already indicated he is unlikely to take all six to Western Australia to contest the series that comprises three rounds of heats with three heats of 10 in each round.
The top 30-ranked horses will qualify to contest the series at Perth's Gloucester Park from November 27 to December 4 with the top 10 point-scorers from the three rounds to contest the $1.5 million final on December 13.
Beautide is certain to head to Perth as the automatic number one-ranked horse as the reigning champion.
The first rankings were released last Friday with Beautide at the top of the list while Modern Ruler that has been burning up the track at Menangle with three successive Group 3 wins ranked 26 while Devendra, that raced in NSW with success last season, is ranked 34.
However Blue Pointer (67) Pachacuti (83) and Roger Ramjet (96) would have to rely on a high attrition rate to sneak into the top 30.
Pachacuti delivered a brilliant performance at Menangle last Friday night to win a Group 3 event over 1609 metres by leading all the way and he recorded a slick mile rate of 1.51.8.
It was the second time in as many starts that the former star Tasmanian two and three-year-old has broken 1.52.
