Ready Cash, the two-time winner of the prestigious Prix d'Amerique, returned to harness racing action on Saturday afternoon (July 21) in the French marathon race Prix de Buenos Aires at Enghien over the 2-3/8th mile distance.

Ready Cash had to race 55 yards behind and was eased during the race by his trainer Thierry Duvaldestin. In fact, during the race the field of 12 trotters was divided in two sections with the leaders trotting around 75 yards in front of the rest of the field.

The race was won by 27-1 shot Quickly Paris with owner and trainer Aymerich Thomas in the bike, who raced from scratch. The time was 2:03.4 (mile rate).

Ready Cash finished fifth and was timed in 2:02.4 (mile rate). This was his first race since February 26.

In Finland the Sct Michels Race at the Mikkeli track was won by the Finnish trotter Maxwell Mayday (sired by SJ's Photo), driven by Ari Moilanen in 1:53.4f. Last year Rapide Lebel won the race in 1:51.3f.

The quality of the race was not as usual, as the prize money had dropped from 120,000 Euros to 60,000 Euros.
