Charlottetown, PE – Nogreatmischief captured the Saturday feature harness racing event in a sparkling 1:55.3 at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Driven by Gary Chappell, Nogreatmishief used his closing speed to track down pace setter Clic K (Gilles Barrieau) in the stretch to notch his fourth win and a new lifetime mark. The five year-old son of Bettors Delight is trained by Walter Cheverie for his co-owner John Thompson, Charlottetown. Doing Some Damage (Brian MacPhee) rallied for second while Clic K finished third.
Drivingthedragon N knocked off favorite Shadows Mystery to win the Guardian Pace in the open mares in a dazzling 1:54.3. The mare, under command of catch-driver Mark Bradley for trainer Jason Hughes, posted her second straight victory in only her third start since relocating from New York for owner Donald MacRae, Vernon Bridge, PE.
Marc Campbell put in another big performance in the bike with four winners on the program. They included Woodmere Articblue and Dustyland Wildbill from his own barn while the Ralph Sweet trainee, Jetster, and Corisca Hall, out of the Jennifer Trainor stable, completed the grand-slam.
Chappell and Ken Murphy had driving doubles.
