CHARLOTTETOWN, PE - The 'Blue Knight' was rising on Saturday night as Jason Hughes was the leading harness racing driver of the evening at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The Stratford horseman scored four wins on the 11-dash program including the $3,200 preferred pace with Simple Kinda Man in 1:54.3 in a narrow stretch drive victory. Rose Run Quest (Driven by Marc Campbell) finished second by a neck while race favourite Lisburn (Kenny Arsenault) was third.

It was win number 11 of Simple Kinda Man's career as the five-year-old son of Sportswriter visited the winner's circle for trainer Chris MacKay and owners D Racing Stable of Middletown, N.Y., and Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge.

Hughes' other wins came with a triple from his own stable as Jeb was a 1:56.2 winner, Lord And Legend won in 1:58.3 and JK Express scored a nose decision in 1:56,3.

Rockin Indy captured the back-up class in 1:56.3 in line to Adam Merner for owner-trainer Troy Murray of Clyde River. Jetster (Campbell) finished second in the $2,700 event while Silverhill Buddy (David Dowling) was third.

Campbell had three winners on the card to continue his stranglehold on the Charlottetown driver's standings. The Winsloe driver won with Here Comes Red in 1:58.1 for trainer Gerald MacDougall of Lorne Valley then scored a pair of wins from his own barn with Streakazana in 1:57.4 and Messier Seelster in 1:55.3.
