Pinner does it again; Ton of Luck wins Power Memorial

Charlottetown, PE - Pinner, with Marc Campbell in the bike, claimed the afternoon top class in a sparking 1:57.4 at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. It was Pinner's third win in a row for trainer Brian Ladner and his co-owners Kevin and Lillian Ladner of Charlottetown.

Campbell, who enjoyed a driving triple on the day, fired Pinner off the gate from post three to post fractions of 28.4, 58.3 and 1:27.4 for his 8th victory of 2013. Doll R General (Mark McKinnon) was second with Ultimate Luck (Kenny Arsenault) third.

In other action, Majian Chester won the trot class for Jim Ripley in 2:04.1 while Ton of Luck and driver Brian MacPhee won the Drew Power Memorial in 2:00.4. MacPhee, who recorded a driving double on the program, engineered the winning trip for the Ultimate Stable of Greater Lakeburn, NB.
