Summerside, PE – Minor Wisdom went to the front and held off a wall of challengers in deep stretch to win the Sunday afternoon harness racing feature at Red Shores Summerside in 1:57.4. She was the longest shot on the board and paid $118.70 to win.
Driven by Wade Sorrie, Minor Wisdom picked up her third win in a row by turning away Rash B Havior and OK Galahad. Kristina McCourt owns and trains the six-year-old mare.
In other action, Baby Picka claimed the Cecil Stewart memorial race for Ken Murphy and trainer Fred Paynter, Stanley Bridge, PE. Paynter co-owns with Debbie and Neal Ramsey, Summerside, PE. The Leon Stewart memorial went to Jetster and Jason Hughes in a swift 1:57.2 for the fastest mile of the day. Ralph Sweet, O'Leary, PE owns and trains.
Hughes, Ken Murphy, Gary Chappell and Norris Rogers had driving doubles on the program.
