A winning streak will come to an end in the race three trotting feature on Thursday night at the harness racing meeting at Charlottetown Driving Park
First race post time is 7 pm for the 13-dash card at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The $1,450 event might as well be called a preview for the Atlantic Breeder's Crown coming up in October as the best three-year-old trotters on the East Coast are set to do battle.
JK Blaze has been perfect so far in 2015 for driver Walter Cheverie and owner-trainer Joe Smallwood of Stratford while Paymenowpaymelater takes her two-for-two unbeaten 2015 season to the table for driver Marc Campbell, trainer Earl Watts and owner Wade Peconi of Stanchel.
Add Atlantic Breeders Crown champion Tyne Valley (William Roloson) from post 1 and Summerside Raceway track record holder Suicide Shift (Steven Shepherd) to the mix and it could be anyone's race in the eight horse field.
A red hot pacer will look to start a new winning streak in the Thursday night pacing feature.
The Big Bite has drawn post 4 in the race 12 Preferred 2 for a purse of $2,200 with Kenny Arsenault in the bike for trainer Thane Arsenault and owners Jack Arsenault, Donna McIver and Edward Blaisdell of P.E.I. and Deborah Wilson of Nova Scotia.
The six-year-old son of Shark Gesture has two straight wins in 1:58 before being nosed out in his latest start in a blistering 1:55.3 to Forever Paradise.
The Big Bite has dodged that foe this week and gains the support of race analyst Les MacIsaac.
"He seems to be peaking at the right time with Old Home Week approaching," MacIsaac said of The Big Bite.
"He currently offers a not worse than second record from his last three starts and gets home consistently in 28 seconds. He could be sitting on a big one."
Cambest Kisser (Jason Hughes) shows some sharp race lines from post 3 while brothers Vincent and Gary Poulton send out Tempo Seelster from post 1 and Cabo Pan Lucas from post 5.
The ultra- consistent Cabo Pan Lucas has 11 top three finishes from just 13 starts so far in 2015 and has the services of Danny MacDonald in the bike.
Newcomer Blue Chip Sunshine has post 7 in the feature with Gilles Barrieau for owners Milton Young of Newfoundland and trainer Mick Dunn.
The American Ideal six-year-old has all ready taken a mark of 1:55.1 this year over the half-mile oval at Flamboro Downs in Ontario.
The field also includes Likely To Win (Adam Merner), Jersey Joe (Gary Chappell) and J Rs Hurricane (Corey MacPherson).
