Charlottetown, PE - Say It Again Sam goes for his seventh straight victory Saturday at Red Shores at Charlottetown Driving Park and Red Shores Summerside gets ready to launch Governor's Plate week with eliminations set on Sunday afternoon at 1pm and Monday night at 7pm.

Say It Again Sam, a three-year-old son of Well Said-Northern Rosa, meets his stiffest competition yet as the Foxyhall racing owned pacer goes for his seventh victory in a row during the 12 dash program Saturday. First race post time is 6pm.

Jason Hughes will be in the bike for the attempt and takes Say It Again Sam from post 2 with pressure expected from Tempo Seelster (Vince Poulton) and Artist List (Gary Chappell). The rest of the line-up includes Capitalism (10-1), R Sonoflife (12-1), Painted Pony (4-1), Artners In Crime (8-1).

ictonian Walton (Cheverie) goes after his third win in a row in race 7 for the Roger MacRae stable of Belfast. Saulsbrook Balance is the morning line favorite in the trot feature in race 3 for driver Willie Murphy, trainer Cindy MacDonald and co -owner Tanya MacKinnon, Souris.

Two drivers are on the verge of milestone victories. Mike Stevenson is only five wins away from career win 1,500 while veteran Gary Chappell is closing in on win 2,500.

Summerside, PE - It's show-time at Red Shores Summerside with Governor's Plate eliminations on Sunday at 1pm and Monday night at 7pm. The fields are loaded with talent and speed with the top four horses, from each elimination, heading to the 46th running of the Governor's Plate Saturday July 19 presented by Summerside Chrysler Dodge, City of Summerside and Journal Pioneer.

The first elimination, which carries a purse of $5,000, has D Gs Camme and Gilles Barrieau off the rail for owners Quentin Bevan, Hal Bevan, Tom Clark and Ron Matheson of Charlottetown. The Jackie Matheson trainee was a six length winner in his last start in 1:55.4. He'll line up beside Likely to Win with Ryan Ellis and Red Rock the newest edition to the Island racing ranks. This guy has been turning some heads. Red Rock is coming off a 1:53.4 win a Yonkers Raceway in New York with 8 victories on his resume from 17 starts this season. Jason Hughes will drive for new owners Donald MacRae, Bryan MacRae, Steven MacRae and Melissa Trainer of Vernon Bridge. Another Hughes stable-mate Narragansett fires from post 4 with heavy weight Touch of Lightning starting from the five hole.

Carnivore, owned by Valleygrove Farms, Kensington, gets into the hunt from post seven for driver Mike Stevenson. Stevenson is only five wins away from career victory 1,500. Ultimate Luck gets reunited with Kenny Arsenault when they teamed up to scorch Summerside on June 22 in 1:54.3. They leave from post seven with Modern Xhibit drawing post 8. He is the morning line favorite from race secretary Gerard Smith. Modern Xhibit is fresh off a torrid 1:54.2 second place finish to All Turain at Fredericton on Canada Day. Marc Campbell will drive for trainer Jonah Moase. Smith is going with 8-3-1 while race analyst Jared Stretch's triactor ticket is 3-8-7.

The Sunday card also carries three LobsterFest Open Mares Eliminations with Firstclassflight, Bunny Mach and Stayoutofmyaffair all listed as morning line favorites in their respective events.

The second Governor's Plate elimination will go on Monday night with opening post time at 7pm.

All Turain and driver Brodie MacPhee will go after plate 46 when they start from post seven. The pacer shows back to back winning performances including the track record in 1:54 at Fredericton for trainer Trevor Hicken, Montague and Lee Hicken, Charlottetown. The invitational star takes on triactor candidates Machinthesand and Astor. The second elimination also includes Blissfull Bro (Todd Trites), Judge Jon (Mike Stevenson), Carrera Angel (Rocky Schurman), Cheyenne Ford (Kenny Arsenault) and Perfect Escape (Walter Cheverie).
