In a major coup for the Norwegian harness racing industry, Swedish super star trotter Revenue has taken up residence at his new home at Norway's Holtan Farm. "He is definitely a coup for the Norwegian industry and the best stallion that has ever been here," says Revenue's new owner Hanne Lynne, a prominent breeder.

"I think we will get quite a few mares in Sweden, but I don't know how many yet as people normally don't do they stallion choice up here until the new year," says Lynne who has already fielded enquiries from a major Swedish stud.

"Having said that, we have almost 40 already here in Norway, so the interest is very good!"

And his move to Norway last week could not come with better timing with Revenue named in the top ten sires in his homeland, Sweden, this week, coming in at number 7 on the influential Swedish Breeders Association stallion rankings.

And on the other side of the Atlantic's open class trotter Hot Shot Blue Chip recording a stunning 26 second quarter on the other side of the Atlantic on the weekend when running second to San Pail in the Allerage Farms Open Trot at The Red Mile. Three weeks earlier he had recorded a blistering 1.51.3 in winning an open trot at Pocono.

That was the same time that another Revenue S colt Break The Bank K set when posting a world record winning the Breeders Crown last year. Break The Bank K also won the Canadian Trotting Classic, in a stellar year.

And this season Revenue S gelding Whiskey Tax won the recent Simcoe Stakes and ran a creditable second in the Hambletonian. He is one of the top three-year-olds of his crop.

The exciting news for trotting breeders is that Revenue S, although the top two and three-year-old in Sweden actually got better with age and recorded his biggest victories and fastest times as an 7 and 8 yearold, which is actually very common with European squaregaiters.

Revenue S won SEK 16 million racing from two until eight including the overall World Cup Trot in 2003, the prestigious Nat Ray in the US, the Copenhagen Cup (2000m), and the Swedish 3140m Walter Lundsberg Memorial, the latest renewal of which was held over the weekend. He was the richest and fastest Franco-American in history (T1.51.3).

He followed in the footsteps of his French sire Reve d'Udon who also had multiple international group 1 wins both in France and in the USA including the international Trot at Yonkers (half mile track) and made the equivalent to 2.4 million Euros in the 80s. Reve d'Udon is also sire of double Prix d'Amerique winner and current boom French sire Offshore Dream (1.10.1 / EUR 1.992.024).

Revenue's dam Hazel Sund is also the dam of two other millionaires while his third dam is Rare Scotch, a sister to Speedy Scot (sire of Speedy Crown and Arnie Almahurst) and Hambletonian-winner Speedy Streak.

Although his oldest crop is just five-years-old in the US, Revenue currently sits in 14th on the all-aged list and has sired five millionaires in Sweden, despite having only one full crop there, served before his departure to the US.

But he will still be available to Australasian trotting breeders despite his return from the United States to Europe.

Revenue S was formally available from Nevele R Stud and will now be available from Eyreton Lodge which stands Colonial Breeding Services other trotter Raffaello Ambrosio, a Titan Cup winner in the US who also raced in Europe, including Norway's biggest race the Forus Open.

Colonial Breeding Services now has two Grand Circuit and international Group 1 trotters on its books.

The company also offers breeders boutique pacing bloodlines and have shipment of frozen semen from Lordship stallion Kurahaupo Lord (the sire of Group 1 winner Tealsby Karita) arriving soon. CBS also acts as agents for the other Globe Derby Society stallion Magic Rule which stands at Macca Lodge.
