Lake Worth, FL – On the final day of the harness racing qualifying mini-season at Olympia of Palm Beach Training Center, romps were the order of the day for most of the winners.
It started in the very first race as trainer/driver Dan Daley won by 20 lengths with Lucky Sevens in 2:01.3. Lucky Sevens is a three-year-old gelding by Chapter Seven.
Also winning in romps were Homecoming King (Dan Daley) in 2:01.2 by nine lengths. Then Baggage Claim (Fern Paquet, Jr.) wired the field, scoring by ten open lengths in 1:56.4.
The fastest mile on the afternoon came in the fifth race pace where Sweet Deisel and trainer-driver Dan Daley wired the field in 1:55.4 by three and one-half lengths. That was the fastest mile of the six races and gave Daley a trainer/driver triple for the day.
Management at Olympia of Palm Beach looks forward to having a bigger and better mini-season of racing events next Spring.
