Sherrie’s Delight, that money-making machine owned by Michael Polansky, trained by Tom Harmer, and driven by Tony Morgan, was up to his old ways again.

For the seventh time this year, in seven starts, he earned a trip to the winner’s circle on Monday (July 25) at Hawthorne Racecourse.

In the third leg of the Customize Series, for 3-Year-Old Colt and Gelding Illinois Conceived and Foaled Trotters, Sherrie’s Delight comfortable on or off the lead, came from out of it on Monday night, and just blew the field away.

Sherrie’s Delight drew off by almost four lengths, paying the princely sum of $2.40, getting the mile easily in 1.57.

e has earned $13,500 in the Customize, quintupling the money earned by any other member of this Series. There’s little doubt who will be favoured in the Customize Final, worth an estimated $100,000, on August 5.

Arcola stamped herself favourite in the Fox Valley Flan Final next week with a two-length victory in third leg of the Customize Series for 3-Year-Old Filly Trotters Conceived and Foaled in Illinois.

With that victory Arcola has earned double the amount of anybody else in the Customize Series.

She trotted the mile in 1.58 and paid $4.20.
