LEBANON, OH. - Sisters Aqua Artist and Sectionline Yankee won back-to-back races Sunday night at Miami Valley, including the $10,000 Fillies and Mares Open pace.
Trainerhad the siblings super sharp on this night and reinsman used that to full advantage. Aqua Artist, at age seven, two years the senior of Sectionline Yankee, (both out of the mare Aquatic Yankee), beat the top distaffers with a front-stepping 1:55.1 effort. She bested Rev Me Up ( ) and Holiday Shopper ( ) for her 25th career triumph, raising her lifetime bankroll to $306,696.
Sectionline Yankee pushed her total earnings to $246,795 with her 14th win. Her 1:56.3 score over Babe's Chip () and Sonic Breeze ( ) came in a $7000 conditioned event. Owners Harold Lee Bauder, Harold L. Bauder and Michael Dixon also bred both winners.
