Three divisions of the first leg of the Berwyn Pacing Series were contested on Wednesday night at Hawthorne Racecourse
In the first division of the evening, Andy Miller Stable Inc.’s Lady’s Future, driven by Andy Miller and trained by Julie Miller, came away with a nose victory.
Earning her first victory of the year, Lady’s Fortune got the mile in 1.56.1 after chasing fractions of 28.4 seconds, 59s, and 1.28.3.
As the second choice in the wagering, this 4-Year-Old mare paid $7.40.
In Wednesday’s fourth race, the second division of the night, Shebunnbunn, trained by Del Insko, driver by Tom Insko, and owned by Del and Tom Insko went off as the longest shot on the board, in a compact field of six, and paid $61.00 for the victory.
Going from last to first, she drew off late to win by a 1 ¼ lengths, getting the mille in 1.54.4, a new lifetime best.
In the final division, Butterscotch Vicki, driven and trained by Shawn Christner, and owned by Shawn Christner, Brian Emlund, and Mitch Katkus, also made her move late to win by ¾ of a length.
She won her second straight race, getting the mile in 1.56.4 and paying $10.20 for the victory.
