Harness racing driver Bruce Aldrich Jr. was recognized on Thursday at Saratoga Casino and Raceway for his 6,000th career driving victory.
Just two weeks away from wrapping up his first career local driving championship, Aldrich has done double duty once again this year, competing at Saratoga and at Monticello Raceways both on a “full time” basis.
It was at Monticello on Wednesday when the veteran reinsman piloted his 6,000th lifetime winner guiding Unimpeachable to victory, the third driving win on the card for the 47 year old.
On Thursday, Aldrich recorded win number 6,001 with trotter It’s A Lucky Deal (Lucky Chucky) in the evening’s opener and was recognized in the winner’s circle for his milestone with a blue and gold (his driver colors) sign acknowledging career victory number 6,000.
It was just last June that Aldrich secured win number 5,000 for his career so he is piling up victories at an incredible rate.
It’s A Lucky Deal’s trainer Gary Levine had a pair of victories on the card as his Bettor Not Miss prevailed on Thursday as well.
Live racing continues on Friday at Saratoga with a 6:45pm first post.
