Four 24,000e finals took place today at Mons Ghlin, France, each over the 2300 meter autostart course.

The fastest event, named the Prix Queen L, went to Urry Up d'Heripre, a six year-old daughter of Orlando Vici in 1.15.3kr. Anders Lindqvist trains the winner and Mlle. Johanna Lindqvist did the teaming of the second favorite in the contest. Also on the card was the Prix de la Saint Valentin. This race represented a second comeback tune-up for veteran Roi du Lupin and he did not disappoint punters and fans.

He scored in 1.15kr over 2850 meters as the prohibitive favorite, his 25th career win and earnings now almost 1.5 million euros. Anthony Barrier drove the winner for trainer/owner J-P Marmion. Another classy veteran, the mare Quoumba de Guez was second for Alexandre Abrivard and trainer J-M Bazire. Mons Ghlin results are shown below.

At Kincsem Park in Hungray, the former HU Derby winner Ollyan Nincs, a son of Pickaflick, scored a narrow win for trainer Imre Fazekas. The Laszlo Tolnay Memorial was contested over 2560 meters for a purse of 500,000Huf. The winner moved around the last turn to take command and held off fast closing Kiskarcsi (by Castleton Magic) on the line. On the card, the well-bred Supergill mare Mellby Schwim won an 1800 meter autostart event named the Bonvivan Handicap for driver/trainer Sandor Varga.
