With no Open Pace on the docket for the evening, the $15,500 Winners Over pace served as the Saturday feature at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

Island Jet (Jereme's Jet) won the Open Pace earlier this season but since changing connections to the stable of trainer Rene Allard, the four-year-old has competed mostly out of town.

On Saturday night, Island Jet started from post two and sat third throughout the mile before getting free in the passing lane in the stretch.

Driver Stephane Bouchard went to work on Island Jet and he responded, coming on to win in 1:55. The race's 9-5 favorite, Island Jet prevailed for the seventh time this season passing rivals Trigger Finger (Jim Devaux) and Kelly's Noah (Dan Cappello Jr), who finished second and third, respectively.

Live racing continues on Sunday afternoon at Saratoga with a matinee set to kick off at 12:15pm.
