Spinarama (Cam's Card Shark) scored on the front end in Saturday night's harness racing open pace at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.
The Chris Marino-trained pacer usually doesn't get beat when he makes the lead and even after enduring a first quarter in 26.3 and half in 54.3 had plenty left in the tank to score in 1:52.
The win time equaled the fastest of the year for a pacer at the Spa.
Austin Siegelman piloted the six year old to victory as he moved his career earnings to over the $300,000 mark with the win.
Ser Jon (Brian Cross) sat the pocket behind the winner and held strong for second while Ahdoughnolum (Jordan Derue) finished third in his debut in the Open.
For Spinarama, it was the third victory in the $18,000 Saturday feature this year, more than any other pacer.
Live racing continues on Sunday afternoon at Saratoga with a first post time set for 12:45pm.
