Igottafeelinfran won the Carol Cramer Pace
It's Complicated and Igottafeelinfran shared the spotlight at Scioto Downs in Friday night features.

It's Complicated and driver  Josh Sutton equal the track record for four-year-old trotting geldings of 1:53 in the $25,000 Open Trot. He started from post two in the field of nine for trainer Brent Davis and owner, Hatfield Stables. Sired by  SJ's Caviar out of Before The Rain has four wins in his last five efforts.

Sutton used the inside post to his advantage and alertly left for the lead, but they had company from Jason Brewer and Somebody As from post eight.

Sutton grabbed leather as they clocked the opening quarter in 27.3. They wanted the lead as the 9-5 favorite and came out to grab the lead and cleared before the half mile, trotted in 56.1.

The pair had a comfortable lead as they trotted to three quarters in 1:24. Then in the stretch, It's Complicated held off a late rally from Fusion Man who was second and Somebody As and Jason Brewer were third.

Igottafeelinfran and Greg Grismore were victorious in the Carol Cramer $25,000 Filly and Mare Open Pace with a career best, 1:51.1 clocking. The race was named in honor of Carol Cramer, who was just inducted last week into the Communicator's Hall of Fame in Goshen, NY.

The four year old mare by Feelin Friskie out of Fran Anna is conditioned by Jim Dailey for the connections of Jerry Zosel, Kathy Ratcliff and Kimberly Dailey.

Igottafeelinfran started from post four after a scratch and was unhurried in the early going. Grismore got away last in the field of six. Betterluvnexttime and Ronnie Wrenn Jr.used their rail post and pushed the gate away, determined to set the fractions in this short field. They paced an opening quarter in 26.1. When they continued on to the half way point in 55, Grismore decided it was time to move.

The pair was sitting fifth when they hit three quarters in 1:22.3, behind the cover of Continual Velocity, driven by Chris Page.

When Grismore asked for more the mare responded in a big way. Pacing her final quarter in 27.4 and beating Continual Velocity by a neck and Betterluvnexttime held on for third.

Racing continues on Saturday (July 12) with Back To The Track activities. First race post time is 6:30.
